Mixing guide / Pitch / AutoPitch
FreeKnob names: confirmed

AutoPitch

A gentle hand guiding each note to the right step.

Listens to each note you sing and pulls it to the nearest correct note in the song's key. 6 styles are free: Classic, Modern Rap, Big Harmony, Duet, Robot, Simulacrum.

Use it when on every vocal track, gently.

Every knob, in plain words

Key / Scale

Which notes count as “correct”. On Chromatic it allows all 12 notes and can correct to notes that don't fit the song. Set the real key instead.

AutoDetect Key

Finds the key for you.

Level

%

How fast and strong the correction is.

Turn it up100%: snaps instantly. Robotic “T-Pain” sound, the voice jumps between notes.
Turn it down10–30%: slow and gentle. Sounds like a natural, well-trained singer.

Effect style

Classic (plain correction, use this for covers) or a creative style: Modern Rap, Big Harmony, Duet, Robot, Simulacrum.

Start here for vocals

  1. Classic style.
  2. Set the key (or press AutoDetect).
  3. Level 10–30% for mains and harmonies.

Too much? Listen for…

  • A warbly or robotic sound on long notes.
  • Slides that jump in steps; vibrato turns into a wobble.
  • A note corrected to the wrong pitch means the key is wrong.

Try it in 2 minutes

  1. Loop one line of your mains.
  2. Turn one knob all the way, then back. Hear what changed.
  3. Settle somewhere gentle.
  4. Click the power button to compare before and after, at the same volume.

Tips

  • Don't use Big Harmony or Duet on harmony tracks you sang yourself; your real harmonies already do that job.

See the recipes table for per-layer settings.
